TasteTro Spice System Officially Launches on Indiegogo

CALGARY, May 8, 2018 – TasteTro Inc., a smart kitchen culinary startup, is excited to announce the launch of its TasteTro Spice System crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
Recognized in early 2018 for Product Design Excellence by the International Housewares Association, the TasteTro Spice System is an intelligent spice rack complete with 20 multi-use spice pods and 50 pre-programmed spice blends – offering users the convenience of creating flavorful and healthy dishes in their own home.
The TasteTro Spice System utilizes RFID technology to recognize spices and alert users when running low, and Bluetooth connectivity for adding new spices, recipes, and future features. When paired with TasteTro’s app, users are offered meal and snack recipes curated by TasteTro’s chefs, as well as convenient pod re-ordering.
“Our goal in creating the TasteTro Spice System has been to make cooking at home more enjoyable and less stressful by removing the barriers to making delicious, healthy, new dishes in a quick and simple fashion. Insights from these first customers will shape our product retail launch and the evolution of the TasteTro Spice System.”
With a goal of $50,000, the TasteTro Indiegogo campaign will run for 30 days. Pledge levels range from $29 for six of TasteTro’s Signature Blends to $429 for The Founders’ Package, which includes the TasteTro Spice System (number and signed plaque), 20 gourmet spice pods, 10 signature blends, 10 recipe cards, a full year of replenishment pods, and the first four new spices when introduced.
Delivery of the TasteTro Spice System is slated to start in February 2019. In the meantime, backers will receive a selection of TasteTro’s Signature Blends, based on the pledge level selected.
